Smoke Detection
PURPOSE:
An “Automatic fire detection system” is provided to give an early warning of a fire condition to protect life and safety of people and property.
The early response of a fire detector to a fire condition will provide an audible and visual alarm signal to alert building occupants to evacuate the building and initiate the fighting of the fire.
Your therefore have to ask yourself the question: ”What do I want to protect?”
TLC Fire can assist in answering this question by conducting a thorough risk assessment of your building before designing a system suited to your specific needs.
Supression Systems
Suppression Systems
Smoke detection systems go hand in hand with fire suppression systems.
Different systems make us of different extinguishing agents. TLC Fire makes use of amongst others.
Supression Systems Products
FM 200:
This agent doesn’t depend on oxygen depletion for extinguishing.
Effective on Class A, B and C fires.
It is safe for equipment and leaves no residue.
Allows for quick reinstatement of a facility after a fire.
This system is typically installed in:
Communication centres, control rooms, telephone exchanges, libraries, museums art galleries, transformers and switch rooms.
CO2:
Is able to extinguish fires and the basic mechanism by which it operates is by a blanketing effect and cooling mechanism.
In other words, CO2 displaces oxygen to a level below which combustion (burning) cannot take place.
INERGEN:
Is a state-of-the-art, flexible agent which is better for your people, your property and the environment. Inergen is entirely non-toxic and produces no corrosive decomposition products. It does not produce a fog when discharged and emergency exits remain visible.
STAT-X-FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM:
Due to their fast response time, low fire extinguishing concentration and environmental safety.
Stat-X fire suppression systems may be used in critical applications across a wide range of industries.
